The Specialty Singing Groups within the Singing Hurricanes

On tour, the Singing Hurricanes chorale also presented a rich diversity of specialty acts. These smaller performing groups provided a great wealth of entertainment for audiences worldwide. Such diversity brought idioms and styles of music to the stage that could better be presented by smaller groups, some with special instrumentation like the guitar, banjo and string bass.

This was the men's quartet, infused with comedy and hijinks.

Glenn Draper would certainly have a men's quartet within the SHs, he being at heart a lover of men's harmonies.

The Rock Band was an odd but ironically, successful specialty act that managed to go over well with the soldier audiences. Go see the one photo and hear the one audio file that somehow survives to this day.
