                                                    Choral on the Outer Limits

This page features both the RCC and Immanuel choirs singing styles of music not usually associated with resident, all-volunteer church choirs. This is hardly a comprehensive list of the vast, almost unbelievable idiomatic range of the two choral groups. MR chose this list of songs taken from various concerts, most notably, the Country/Bluegrass concerts, which always featured sprawling medleys of unexpected styles of music: you will see them delineated below.

MR says: "In my career, touring the nation and singing in all kinds of choirs, including professional vocal groups (such as the Spurrlows and Jackie Gleason Singers), all the University of Miami choral groups, and having heard and performed with the best resident church choirs, I have never seen the like of the idiomatic range of these two choirs; and both choirs could turn around and sing high church choral and Handel's Messiah with the best in South Florida. They could sing from early music and oratorio to country and bluegrass gospel, and make both choral extremes, and everything in between, sound idiomatically pleasing."
